Shipping Guidelines


ShippingOf all things that we could have done, we chose to start a bedding business. This is because we truly enjoy finding better ways to design and create quality sleep that you can indulge in and wake up with a smile. At Zzz Atelier, we would like to continue to focus all our time and energy in perfecting just that. This is why we leave shipping to the shipping experts. All our products are shipped to you using reputable courier companies at competitive rates, and we pass on the savings to our customers.

The process

Mattress & large item shipment

  1. Once we have successfully received your order payment, we dispatch the items from our warehouse on the next working day.
  2. We ship large items via courier companies and arranged delivery is required. You receive a shipment email with tracking number and courier company details.
  3. You call the courier company quoting your tracking number to arrange a suitable delivery day. This is an important step to ensure that you will be available to sign for the delivery. Please note a re-delivery charge of $39 may apply for cancelled or missed delivery.
  4. The item arrives at your doorstep. For larger and heavier items, you may need to assist the delivery driver to unload.

Soft furnishing & lightweight item shipment

  1. Once we have successfully received your order payment, we dispatch the items from our warehouse on the next working day.
  2. Smaller items are shipped via Australia Post. There is no need for you to call to arrange delivery day.
  3. The item arrives at your premise. If no one is at home to sign for the goods, a card will be left at the premise and the goods will be kept at the nearest post office for your collection.

Transit time

Depending on your delivery address, your newly purchased item can take any time between 2 days to 3 weeks to arrive at your doorstep. The approximate transit time would be:

Melbourne orders - 2 to 5 working days.
Sydney & Canberra orders - 2 to 7 working days.
Adelaide orders - 3 to 7 working days.
Brisbane orders - 4 to 9 working days.
All other major cities - 4 to 10 working days.

If you are in a rural/regional area, delivery times are generally around 7-15 working days, and at times can be longer.

Delivery coverage

We are a young and growing business, and we are always working hard with our courier service providers to cover more and more shipping areas. As of now we are able to deliver to most metropolitan and some country areas of VIC, ACT, NSW, QLD, SA and TAS. Our delivery network also covers parts of WA and NT. It will be a good idea to use the below tabs to find out the postcodes which we are currently unable to deliver to prior to making a purchase.

Shipment FAQ

1. Do I have to be home for the items to be delivered?

The short answer is "yes". Most items that we sell are mattresses and large items. You will need to be available to sign for the delivery. It is advisable for you to call the courier company to arrange a suitable delivery day. Please note a re-delivery charge or $49 may apply for cancelled or missed delivery. 

If you cannot be available to accept the delivery, you can contact the courier directly to provide them with an “Authority to leave” the goods unattended. Should this be the case, neither Zzz Atelier nor the courier can be held liable for any loss, theft or damage to your item once delivered.

2. Which state or territory do you deliver to?

We deliver our products to most metropolitan and some country areas. Please refer to our "Delivery coverage" section above for more details. In some cases we may not be able to deliver to remote or island locations. When this happen our customer service staff will be in touch with you to discuss options and alternatives. And yes, we do deliver to Tasmania, despite it being an island.

3. Do you deliver to PO box?

Our products are too awesome. They don't fit into a PO box.

3. Do you deliver outside Australia?

Unfortunately we currently do not deliver to international locations. However, we may start to extend our shipment network to New Zealand in near future. So stay tuned.

4. How much will delivery cost?

Delivery cost will differ based on your postcode. This will be calculated and presented to you once you have checked out your shopping cart and prior to making payment. We work with different courier companies to acquire the most competitive rate and we pass on such saving to you.

5. Can I pick up my goods?

Our shipping rate is extremely competitive. We do not seek to profit from product shipment and we pass on all savings we can to our customers. In fact, we offer free delivery from time to time, or when your total purchase is more than a certain amount. We recommend that you check out the delivery cost at your shopping cart before deciding to pick up your purchase. If you still prefer to pick up your goods regardless, you can do so by appointment at our warehouse as below.

  • To collect the item yourself, you will need to supply a full proof of photo ID at the collection point. A driver's license, proof-of-age card, or a passport would be acceptable form of proof. 
  • For another person to collect on your behalf, you will need to scan and email your full photo ID to customerservice@zzzatelier.com.au. You will also need to detail the identification of the individual collecting the item.
  • We reserve the right to refuse the collection of items by any person unable to provide sufficient proof.
